Welcome to my art portfolio. I am a realist painter. Memory can be fickle. What we think we remember is faded by time.
When I see a scene; a light dancing on the water to catch the sun. The shadows and colours of a sunset or sunrise. The chiaroscuro of the sunlight on the building and people walking in the dark archway. The Mahjong players, two generations watching and listening to the clack of the tiles,;a scene that will never be seen again.
We will never experience the same angle of the sun or moon in our lifetime, as we see it today. People pass on, trees fall, buildings are replaced. Paintings keep my memories fresh and remind me how special life is. Our art is a documentation of history.
